Replication Materials for Braithwaite and Licht 2019, JCR: “The effect of civil society organizations and democratization aid on civil war onset.”

The replication materials include:
1)  JMBAL_JCR_Replication.do	a commented Stata do-file which will run all of the analyses and commands necessary to replicate findings reported in Table 1 and Figures 1 and 2.
2) JMBAL_JCR_Replication.dta	a Stata-13 dataset containing all variables necessary for completing the analyses.
3) JMBAL_JCR_Replication.csv	a comma-separated-value format of the data suitable for use with any software
4) JMBAL_SimulationResults.dta 	a Stata-13 dataset containing the simulated sampling distribution of average predicted probabilities and marginal effects from the simulation procedure in the do-file and described in the manuscript. If users do not wish to dedicate the computing time to replicating the simulation itself, this data can be used to recreate Figure 2. 

In order to replicate all analyses, users should save the replication data to their machine, edit the do-file’s directory path via the <cd> command on line 9 to reflect the location of the data on their machine, and run the do-file.
